Christmas Tree

Because of the hecticity of last Christmas (i.e. just moving in to our Cary apartment) this is the Rozell family's first Christmas tree (and yes, it's real). I am sure the masses wanted to see pictures of our place before pictures of a tree, but too bad. We are excited about our little Frazier Fur and looking forward to more Christmas celebrations (especially listening to Delilah). Until the next post,

Merry Christmas

Ad, Ev, Al

I had the rare privilege to chat with both Evan and Alex Burke today. Evan is pursuing a professional career selling nuts and bolts in Louisville (as well as attending Southern Baptist) and Alex is still a landman in east Texas. However, though it did give me joy to hear from them; I really felt joy when Alex let me on their (secret to me) blog.
Evan created a blog that each of the Burke brothers can post to. And to me, its like standing outside a house window and sneaking a peek to see 3 boys' mischief going on inside. You look around to see if anyone sees you watching and then return to your inquisitive gander (knowing that trouble is imminent). Anyways, I hope the Burkes 3, continue to open their window curtains to us, as they are great writers with subtle themes/morales in [most] their work.

NOTE: If you want to read the "Burkes 3" daily endeavors, I posted the link on the right.

Well we have found a place to live and are quickly settling in. Our
new apartment is in the town of Roanoke, 2 miles east of the Texas
Motor Speedway and 5 miles west of Southlake town center. We hope to
have pictures up soon, but for now we have more unpacking to do

On the road

Time: 6:04 EST
Location: Somewhere west of Knoxville

Heather and I couldn't have picked a better day to drive through the
Appalachian mountains westward en route to Texas. The trees are all
vibrate colors of fall (fitting for a UT home game). Our drive thus
far has been mostly filled with jealousy about the leisurely life
Duchess enjoys sleeping in the back seat. However, driving through
autumn colored foothills and sleepy farms has been almost as relaxing
for us. Update to follow...

From westbound I-40,
