My work asked me to attend a conference in New Orleans earlier this week. Though I had been to New Orleans before, never over the holiday of Mardi Gras. Here are a few shots of the "festivities". Heather and I truly enjoyed the experience, but agree we need not return to such a god forsaken street - Bourbon.

This is a chair, of sorts, attached to a ladder for kids to sit in and catch parade (krewe) beads.
What a fitting name.
Heather did not earn her beads in the traditional sense... but I did!
